2026 Teller County Fair Open Class Quilt Entries

Every year, the Quilts in the Aspens Quilt Guild supports the Teller County Fair Open
Class quilt entries. On July 29, 2026, eleven people entered 25 quilts in the Fair’s quilt
competition. Nine of the participants were guild members (Cindy Galbreath, Gay
Liberty, Lisa Morris, Susie O’Connor, Linda Sallee, Ellen Sarvay, Cindy Snell, Debi
Solomich, and Joanne Thies) and all nine received at least one ribbon (list attached.)
Margaret Arant was this year’s judge and Jonnie Nottingham was her scriber. A big
shout out to Debi Solomich, who received Best of Show for Convex Illusion.

Congratulations to all who participated and bravery listened to the judge’s comments. It
is always a learning experience. My sincere thank you to all who participated and
helped with check-in, judging, set up and take down. Kathleen Grenfell provided me
with supplies and wisdom that made coordinating this event easy. I encourage all QAC
members to enter a quilt in next year’s Teller County Fair.
